Canada remains an attractive destination to individuals whether they are coming for a temporary period or immigrating as permanent residents. There are a number of reasons why:

In the 2015 Social Progress Index Report, Canada ranked 6th globally and ranked first in the Opportunity Dimension. Citizens and residents have easy access to opportunities such as but not limited to personal rights, tolerance to immigrants, tolerance to homosexuals, religious tolerance, access to advanced education and globally ranked universities, private property rights, freedom of speech and freedom of life choices. Canada got a low homicide rate and high in adult literacy.

Canada prides itself on being a multicultural society. As stated in the preamble of Canadian Multiculturalism Act "Government of Canada is committed to a policy of multiculturalism designed to preserve and enhance the multicultural heritage of Canadians while working to achieve the equality of all Canadians in the economic, social, cultural and political life of Canada." Canada promotes diversity in work and in school. Canadians embrace the differences in race, color, religion,  political belief, culture, and diversity in family composition (same-sex partners, multiracial family, single parent household).

Canada offers advanced education and quality tuition. Employment options are available for students within the study period and after graduating.  This offers a pathway to permanent residence.

Family reunification is a central tenet of Canadian Immigration Policy. This is evident in the Immigration programs such as Family Sponsorship. Permanent Residents and Citizens can sponsor their spouse, common-law or conjugal partners and dependent children. Under this program Parents and Grandparents can also be sponsored.

Residents and citizens of Canada have reasonable access to universal  and comprehensive coverage for health care services. Healthcare coverage is publicly funded and mostly free.

Canada will charm you with it's beautiful national parks and wildlife. Experience the breathtaking views of landscapes, surf in the Pacific Ocean or spot polar bears in Manitoba. See elks and eagles in the  coastal rain forests of  British Columbia. Dine in cosmopolitan restaurants in the cities of Canada.

Visit Newfoundland, do some kayaking and see some of the 35 million seabirds including colourful puffins, or commune with 20 whale species.

These exciting adventures and countless others await you in Canada- your second home.
